LG Electronics Announces Five Winners for 2026 Ambassador Challenge in Bangladesh

LG Electronics Singapore’s Bangladesh branch has announced the five winning projects of the LG Ambassador Challenge 2026. The selected initiatives were recognized for offering innovative and effective solutions to improve the living standards of underprivileged and marginalized communities across Bangladesh.

The winners were unveiled during a ceremony held last Tuesday at the company’s office in Gulshan-1, Dhaka. Gerald Chun, Managing Director of LG Electronics Singapore’s Bangladesh branch, attended the event as the chief guest, alongside Head of Marketing Md. Rakibul Hasan and Head of Finance Rehan Uddin.

The winning projects include Coastal Lifeline in Cox’s Bazar, led by Minhaz Uddin, which focuses on enhancing financial security and alleviating poverty for disaster-prone coastal populations. The O A Ka Kha School in Sirajganj, led by Md. Abdullah Rony, was selected for its efforts to expand educational access and improve learning quality for underprivileged children.

The Vulnerable Area Network (VAN) project in Satkhira, directed by Md. Habibullah Al Mamun, aims to create sustainable livelihoods and strengthen economic resilience for coastal residents. In Khulna, a project led by Shuvo Kumar Ghosh focuses on empowering women in the Sundarbans through sewing training, providing them with technical skills to ensure sustainable income and economic self-reliance. Finally, Project Uday in Rajshahi, led by Sabrina Haque, aims to improve the socioeconomic status and overall quality of life for local low-income families.

Beyond providing financial support, LG pledged to work closely with the winning ambassadors throughout the implementation process. The company will monitor the progress of these projects and provide necessary assistance to ensure effective execution and maximum positive impact on local communities.

Sangho Chon, Branch Leader of LG Electronics Singapore’s Bangladesh branch, stated that since the LG Ambassador Challenge was introduced in Bangladesh in 2017, the company has supported numerous social development projects that have created meaningful and long-lasting change. He emphasized that the company believes “Life is Good” is not merely a brand promise, but a reflection of its commitment to improving human lives.
