Cabinet expansion sees six new appointments and major portfolio reshuffle following presidential transition

The Cabinet of the newly formed government expanded on Friday, six months after its initial inauguration, with the addition of five new members and the promotion of one state minister to full cabinet rank. The reshuffle included the swearing-in of four ministers and two state ministers, followed by a reallocation of portfolios later in the evening.

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, who took his oath of office earlier the same day, administered the swearing-in ceremony for the new appointees at Bangabhaban. Following the ceremony, the government finalized the distribution of ministerial responsibilities.
