IFIC Bank PLC Reviews Half-Year Business Growth and Sets Strategic Goals for Future Expansion

IFIC Bank PLC held its “Half-Yearly Business Conference 2026” for the Dhaka North and South regions on Wednesday, August 12, at the multipurpose hall of IFIC Tower in Purana Paltan, Dhaka. The day-long event brought together managers from 75 branches across the two regions alongside heads of various departments from the bank’s headquarters.
Managing Director and CEO Syed Mansur Mostafa addressed the conference as the chief guest. He attributed the bank’s strengthened customer trust to a consistent commitment to good governance, transparency, and accountability. Reflecting this growth, the bank’s total deposits have now surpassed 530 billion taka.
During the conference, Mostafa provided strategic directives to accelerate business growth across multiple sectors while emphasizing the need to intensify loan recovery efforts. He underscored the importance of expanding retail and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) operations. Furthermore, he urged the staff to prioritize digital banking services, including the popularization of Bangla QR, to ensure that customers receive faster, more accessible, and modern financial solutions.
Members of the senior management team reviewed the bank’s operational progress, business capacity, and current institutional strength. The leadership team provided comprehensive guidelines aimed at achieving future business targets, enhancing customer service standards, maintaining asset quality, and ensuring sustainable long-term growth.
The conference concluded with a question-and-answer session, providing a platform for branch managers to engage directly with the senior leadership regarding the bank’s operational trajectory. Several high-ranking officials from the bank were present throughout the proceedings.
