Traffic on the Dhaka-bound lane of the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Narayanganj is experiencing significant delays due to ongoing bridge construction work in the Ashariar Char area of Kanchpur. Highway police reported that traffic is currently being funneled through a single lane, resulting in slow-moving congestion for commuters heading toward the capital.
Officials from the Roads and Highways Department stated that this single-lane restriction is necessary to facilitate construction progress and allow for the proper curing of road materials. The traffic management measures are scheduled to remain in effect until 6:00 a.m. on Saturday.
