Applications Open for 11th Global Student Entrepreneur Awards in Bangladesh

Applications are now open for the 11th edition of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) in Bangladesh, a premier competition designed to showcase the ventures of university-level student entrepreneurs. The national champion of the Bangladesh chapter will earn the opportunity to represent the country at the international finals, where the top three global winners will share a prize pool of 100,000 U.S. dollars.
The application process was officially launched during a press conference held last Thursday at a hotel in Gulshan, Dhaka. Interested students are invited to submit their applications through the official competition website at eobangladesh.org/gsea until November 7, 2026.
Key figures attending the launch included Azra Salim, Managing Director of Shombhob Health Limited and President of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Bangladesh; Kimberly Hanna Kazi, Director of Kazi Resorts and GSEA Bangladesh Chair; Mostafa Kamrus Sobhan, Managing Director of Dragon Group; and Tanajjul Ayman, Chairman of Spark Infrastructure Limited. The committee for this year’s edition is co-chaired by Mohammad Tarequzzaman of Indesore Sweater Limited and Tahmina Afroz, Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC.
Organizers emphasized that GSEA is not a traditional business plan competition. Participation is restricted to students who are currently balancing their academic studies while actively managing and operating their own businesses.
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled as undergraduate or postgraduate students, including part-time students, and must be between the ages of 18 and 30. Furthermore, the applicant must be the founder or owner of the business, which must have been operational for at least six months. The venture must demonstrate traction, including an established customer base and verifiable revenue. Specifically, the business must have generated at least 500 U.S. dollars in revenue or secured 1,000 U.S. dollars in investment.
The national grand finale is scheduled to take place in January 2027. The national winner will receive a cash prize of 500,000 Taka, alongside access to professional mentorship and the opportunity to join the global network of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization.
