Husband and wife died of electrocution while cleaning paddy in Jhenaidah

The householder was cleaning the paddy in his house with the air of the fan. At that time, he was suddenly shocked by electricity. The wife immediately rushed there to save her husband. At one stage he was also electrocuted. The couple later died on the spot.
This incident happened on Monday morning in Gaganna village of Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila. The couple is Mojibur Rahman Khan (60) and his wife Momena Begum (55), residents of Gaganna village in Holidhani Union of Sadar Upazila.

According to several local residents and police sources, Mujibur Rahman Khan was cleaning boro paddy with the air of an electric fan in the courtyard of the house this morning. At that time he was accidentally electrocuted. His wife Momena Begum also got electrocuted when she rushed to save her husband. Eventually they died on the spot.
Neighbor Ajibur Rahman Biswas said that in the morning, hearing screams, people around ran. Later they found that both had died due to electrocution.

Relatives said that the elder son of the couple Bakul Hossain works in BGB. He was at work. Younger son Billal Hossain lives separately. Their only daughter is married.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station said that after receiving the information, the police visited the scene. Asaduzzaman said, initially it is believed that the couple died due to electrocution. Necessary legal action is being taken in this incident.
