The date of submission of further investigation report was postponed 12 times
Further investigation into the murder of Inkilab Manch spokesman Shaheed Sharif Osman Bin Hadi has again postponed the date of submission of the report. The court has set a new date for submitting the report on May 5.
The investigation report of the case was scheduled to be submitted on Sunday. However, on this day, the investigating agency of the case, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police could not submit the report. In view of this, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka. Sefatullah set a new date for submitting the report. The date of submission of the further investigation report of the case was postponed a total of 12 times.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Prosecution Department Deputy Inspector Md. Ruknuzzaman confirmed this.
Sharif Osman bin Hadi announced to be an independent candidate from Dhaka-8 constituency in the Thirteenth National Assembly Elections. He was shot dead on December 12 last year in the Box Calvert Road area of Paltan, the day after the announcement of the 13th National Assembly election schedule.
In this incident, on December 14, the member secretary of Inqilab Manch, Abdullah Al Jaber, filed a case of attempted murder in Paltan police station. Sharif Osman bin Hadi died on December 18 while undergoing treatment in Singapore. Later the case was converted into a murder case.
The Intelligence Department (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed a charge sheet against 17 people including Faisal Karim Masud after investigating the Sharif Osman bin Hadi murder case. The plaintiff of the case appealed to the court regarding the charge sheet. In view of this, the court directed the CID to investigate the case further.
