Thousand of GPA-5 Achievers Gather in Dhaka for Nationwide Student Fest
Thousands of GPA-5 achievers join the vibrant day-long celebration at Fantasy Kingdom in Ashulia organized by Prothom Alo and powered by Shikho
Thousands of brilliant young minds who achieved the highest grade point average in the recent Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations gathered at Fantasy Kingdom in Ashulia, Savar, on Tuesday to celebrate their academic milestones. The vibrant gathering marks the commencement of the Dhaka regional leg of the annual GPA-5 reception festival, organized under the inspiring banner of dreaming big to build a successful life.
The nationwide festival is being organized by Prothom Alo, with patronage from the digital education platform Shikho, to honor high-achieving students from all sixty-four districts of the country. The opening day of the Dhaka segment drew approximately ten thousand achievers from across Dhaka district, who arrived early in the morning alongside their proud parents to partake in the day-long festivities and share their joy with peers.
Eminent personalities, academics, and prominent cultural icons attended the inaugural day to encourage the students, including United International University Vice-Chancellor Abul Kashem Mia, Dhaka University Information Technology Institute Professor B M Mainul Hossain, Bangladesh Bank Joint Director and IronMan Mohammad Shamsuzzaman Arafat, Shikho Founder and Chief Executive Officer Shahir Chowdhury, Prothom Alo Executive Editor Sajjad Sharif, and Managing Editor Anisul Huq. The celebration was further enlivened by musical performances and interactive sessions led by popular actors Siam Ahmed, Tanzim Saiyara, and Yash Rohan, alongside singers Dola Rahman and Emon Chowdhury with his ensemble Bengal Symphony, under the moderation of Prothom Alo Associate Editor Sumana Sharmin.
The grand celebration is powered by bKash, with active support from the Concord Group, Fresh, Savoy Ice Cream, Konka-Greer, Mutual Trust Bank PLC, Quality Group, Presidency University, Zinc B, Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology, UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus, Amber IT Limited, ATN Bangla, and Prothom Alo Bondhushava.
The two-day Dhaka regional festival will conclude on Wednesday with its second installment, which is projected to welcome over ten thousand high-achieving students from Dhaka, Manikganj, and Gazipur districts for another day of recognition and festivity.
