The High Court bench comprising of Justice Rajik-Al-Jalil and Justice Debashish Roy Chowdhury gave this ruling on the preliminary hearing of a writ filed by Monira Sharmin. The respondents, including the Election Commission, have been asked to respond to the ruling within four weeks.
Senior lawyers Mohammad Hossain and Mostafizur Rahman and lawyer Muha were in the hearing on behalf of the writ petitioner. Mujahidul Islam. Attorney General for the state. Ruhul Quddus Kajal attended the hearing.
