While filing a case at the police station in Lakshmipur The Chhatra League leader was arrested

Police have arrested a leader of banned Chhatra League named Harunur Rashid in Raipur Upazila of Laxmipur. He was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and sent to jail in an anti-terrorism case.
Harunur Rashid is the president of South Charbanshi Union Chhatra League of Upazila. He is the son of Abdur Rashid Mollah, former president of Dakshin Charbanshi Union Awami League.
According to family members, Maldivian Manju Molla, the elder brother of Harunur Rashid, was hacked and injured by the opponents on Monday afternoon in Charalakshmi village due to a land dispute. Harunur Rashid was arrested by the police when he went to file a case at the police station on Monday night. His sister-in-law Noor Mohammad claimed that even though there was a case against Harunur Rashid, he was on bail.
Officer-in-charge of Raipur police station Shaheen Mia said that the police had been looking for Harunur Rashid for a long time. He has several charges against him and is an accused in a case. In particular, he is accused in the case of the torch march under his leadership in the concerned union. Operations were being conducted at various places to arrest him.
