Twin siblings among top achievers in Chandpur SSC examinations

Twin siblings Ahad Khan and Lamia Akter have achieved top marks in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in Matlab Dakshin Upazila, Chandpur. Both students secured a GPA-5 in the science stream while attending Al-Haj Tofazzal Hossain Dhali High School.

Ahad and Lamia are the children of businessman Helal Uddin Khan and homemaker Farzana Akter, residents of Panchgaria village. Their joint success has been met with celebration among their family members, teachers, and peers.

The siblings, who studied in the same section, expressed their joy at attaining the top grade together. They credited their academic success to the guidance of their teachers and the support of their parents. Both Ahad and Lamia have expressed their aspirations to pursue careers in medicine.

Reflecting on the achievement, their father, Helal Uddin Khan, noted the significance of his children sharing the journey from birth through to their final school examinations. He expressed pride in their collective performance and requested prayers for their future endeavors.

Robiul Islam, an assistant teacher at the school, also shared his satisfaction regarding the twins’ performance. According to school records, 99 students sat for the SSC examinations from the institution this year. Of those, 75 passed, including eight students who secured GPA-5, bringing the school’s pass rate to 75.75 percent.

In a separate instance of success within the same upazila, another set of twins, Koushik Ghosh and Supti Ghosh, also secured GPA-5. They sat for the examinations as students of KFT Collegiate School.
