“If there was 24-hour oil, there would be no reason for drivers like us to sit outside for 10, 12 hours. There is no oil in the country. There is oil only inside the parliament, there is no oil outside. The driver of the private car was speaking with anger. Riyaz Uddin.
Talked to this driver at M/s Talukdar filling station located at Asad Gate of the capital on Saturday around 5 pm. He said that he was standing in line for oil at five in the morning. Even after waiting for 12 hours till 5 pm did not get oil.

Referring to the filling station authorities in the context of not getting oil. Riaz Uddin said, “When I stood in line at the pump in the morning, I was told that the oil would arrive at two o’clock in the afternoon. When I asked at 2 o’clock, he said he would come at 5 pm. Now I have been asking a little earlier, he said it will ring at half past six.
Riaz Uddin claimed that the ministers in the parliament said that there is no oil crisis in the country. But the reality on the ground is different. They have to suffer for hours when they go for oil.

At this filling station, Neon Mohammad Intisar was standing in line for oil with his motorcycle at 11 am. Even after 6 and a half hours, he did not get oil.
This motorcyclist said, ‘I would have got oil by now if I went to another filling station. But here I stand in front of everyone. I think I will get the oil first. While waiting for that, it was 5:30 pm. I thought that if I go somewhere and stand in line, I will have to stand far back, and I can’t get oil again.’
The driver said that he was suffering from the intense sun while standing in line for oil. According to him, if the government pays more attention to this matter, the suffering will be reduced.
The cashier of this Talukdar filling station said about the lack of oil. Ershad told Prothom Alo that the oil they got from the depot the day before yesterday was sold till yesterday. Went to car depot for oil today. But the oil is coming late. Due to which they are not able to give oil to the waiting people.
Around 6 pm, 234 private cars and 108 motorcycles were seen queuing up to get fuel from the Talukdar filling station.
Sonar Bangla Filling Station is located opposite M/s Talukdar Filling Station in Asad Gate area of the capital. Came to this filling station around 5:30 pm and talked to the motorcyclist Moktar Hossain. He said that he was standing in line for oil around 12:30 noon. He got the oil after 5 hours.
In response to a question whether the suffering has reduced or not, this motorcyclist said, “It has reduced a lot from before.” Earlier it used to take 8 to 9 hours to get oil. Now it seems a little less. But oil is not available at the filling station. If the government maintains the oil supply, there will be no suffering. That which is there will also decrease.
297 motorcycles are seen waiting for oil at this filling station at 5:30 pm.
One of the busiest filling stations in the capital is Trust Filling Station located at Tejgaon. This filling station was visited around 4 pm today, 208 private cars and 112 motorcycles are waiting for oil.
Private car driver was standing in line for oil at this filling station at 12:15 pm. johnny He told Prothom Alo that it takes less time for oil than before. The time it used to take is now reduced to half.
Arif Hossain, a ride share driver on a motorcycle, was standing in line for oil at this filling station around 12:30 noon. He said, “Although the time to take oil has decreased a little, the time it takes is still a lot of suffering for us. We have been losing a lot for a long time. If this continues, we will have to go without food.
Although it takes a little less time to get oil than before, the drivers said that the suffering remained due to not getting oil at some filling stations. They believe that if all the filling stations supply oil together, then the suffering will also end.
