Fans have long had a curiosity about Hollywood actresses Grace Van Patten and Shailene Woodley—are they really twins? The striking similarity of the two stars’ looks is often discussed on social media. Now the buzz has added a new dimension as for the first time these two ‘look-alike’ stars have been spotted together in public.

Grace and Shailene were seen side by side at the ‘Deadline Contenders Television’ program organized in Los Angeles recently. Their meeting surprised the fans. Actor Thomas Doherty introduced these two stars to each other at the event. After a video clip of the moment went viral, fans demanded that the two should be cast as ‘sisters’ in a movie immediately.

In an interview given to ‘Cosmopolitan’ magazine in February, Grace said that people mistook her for Shailene Woodley even before she started acting. He said, “When I was in high school, many people used to think that I was Shaileen. I remember, once at the airport a group of girls surrounded me thinking I was the star of ‘Divergent’ (Shailene’s popular movie). When I said I wasn’t him, they didn’t want to believe me.’

Shailene Woodley, on the other hand, is quite happy with the similarity. He said, “I have met with Grace a few times. Every now and then we address each other as ‘twins’. Because everyone finds similarities in our looks, even me. He’s a very nice person, so it’s a great compliment to be compared to him.”

Despite their similarity in appearance, they have not been seen together in any movie or TV series so far. Grace recently finished work on ‘Big Little Lies’. On the other hand, Shailene is currently busy shooting the new drama series ‘Count My Lies’ with Lindsay Lohan and Kit Harington in New York.
