The foreign minister began a three-day official visit to China

Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman arrived in China’s capital Beijing on a three-day official visit.
When the foreign minister arrived in Beijing on Tuesday, he was welcomed at the airport by Bangladesh’s ambassador to China. Nazmul Islam and Chinese Foreign Ministry Consul General Wei Huaxiang.
The main objective of the visit is to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries and increase high-level communication.
The minister will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister and member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Wang Yi at Diaoyutai State Guest House in Beijing on Wednesday.
Apart from this, during the visit, the foreign minister is also expected to meet with the top level leaders of the country, including the chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Related sources said that trade, investment, regional cooperation and various issues of mutual interest will be discussed in these meetings.
Foreign Minister’s foreign affairs advisor Humayun Kabir and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) executive chairman Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud bin Haroon are accompanying the foreign minister.
