The fan fell on the SSC candidate, the bandage ended the exam

During the SSC examination in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali, a moving electric fan fell and injured an examinee. Name of the injured student is Niamul Hasan (17). The incident took place at Madan Mohan High School in Chaumuhani municipality during the examination of the first paper of English at around 11 o’clock on Sunday. Niamul is a student of the local Darul Islam Academy.

According to center sources, the exam started at 10 am. Niamul was taking the exam in room number 8 with other candidates. Around 11 o’clock, the moving electric fan on his head suddenly opened and fell to the side. The right side of his forehead was cut by the wing of the fan. After the incident, there was a temporary panic among the other students present, but the teachers in charge quickly normalized the situation.

The injured Niamul was given immediate treatment. A doctor was called from the Upazila Health Complex and bandaged on his forehead. Later his examination was conducted with extra time in the office room of the center under the direction of Comilla Education Board. Niamul ends the experiment with a bandaged head.

The senior teacher of the center is Super and the school. Abdul Awal Chowdhury said, “Immediately after the incident, we arranged for the treatment of the student. Additional time has been given in a separate room so that he can take part in the examination.’ He said that the inspection team of Comilla Education Board was present at the center at the time of the incident and this measure was taken on their advice.

Abdul Awal Chowdhury also said that Niamul returned home with his father after the exam. In the afternoon, he and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO). Kayesur Rahman went to the student’s home and inquired. He said, such an incident is completely unexpected. The fan has never been opened like this before.
