Saudi road accident claims life of Bangladeshi expatriate worker

A 25-year-old migrant worker from Bangladesh has died in Saudi Arabia following a severe road accident in Jeddah. Tareq Ahmed, a resident of Muktapur village in the Kanaighat upazila of Sylhet, succumbed to his injuries on Friday afternoon while receiving treatment at a local hospital.
According to local accounts, the incident occurred on Thursday evening while Ahmed was learning to drive near his workplace. Following the crash, colleagues rushed him to a medical facility where he was placed in the intensive care unit. Despite medical efforts, he passed away the following day.
Ahmed had moved to Saudi Arabia only this past February to seek employment. His death marks another tragedy for the Kanaighat community, which is still reeling from a separate incident on June 21, when five expatriates from the same upazila were killed in a road accident in Qatar.
