Rain’s body is on the way to Dhaka

The body of Bangladeshi student Nahida Sultana Bristhi, who was brutally murdered in Florida, USA, was sent to the country on Thursday (May 7) local time.

Golam Mortoza, Press Minister of the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC, USA, gave this information in a post on his verified Facebook page.

According to the post, an Emirates flight (EK 0220) from Florida’s Orlando International Airport headed for Dhaka with Rain’s body at 8:50 pm. At that time, a representative of the Bangladesh Consulate in Miami, Florida was present at the airport.

Ghulam Mortoza said in his post that the transit will be in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Flight will change to Dubai. This flight (EK 0582) will reach Dhaka tomorrow Saturday (May 9) at 8:40 AM with the body of rain.

Rain (27) was a PhD student at the University of South Florida in the state. Jamil Ahmed Limon (27), another Bangladeshi PhD student of the same university, was also brutally murdered. His body arrived in Dhaka on May 4.

Rain was doing his PhD in Chemical Engineering. And Limon was doing a PhD in geography, ecology and policy. University of South Florida authorities have decided to award their posthumous doctorate degrees.

On April 16, Limon and Rishi went missing. A friend of theirs brought the matter to the attention of the university authorities. Police later confirmed that both were brutally murdered. Limon’s roommate American citizen Hisham Abugharbeh has been arrested by the police for his involvement in the murder.
