On the first day of the Eid trip, the Vijay Express from Chittagong railway station to Jamalpur left three and a half hours late. Passengers have to wait agonizingly on the platform of the station for a long time.

The Eid journey by train has started today from Saturday. The Vijay Express train was scheduled to leave at 9:30 am. Passengers arrived at the station platform ahead of schedule. Many were accompanied by family members. Among the passengers are elderly people and children. Later this train leaves at 12:30 PM.

All other intercity trains traveling from Chittagong station to different parts of the country have left on schedule. The passengers of these trains had a comfortable Eid journey. Two intercity trains from Chittagong to Sylhet, five to Dhaka, one to Chandpur and two to Cox’s Bazar leave on time. Apart from this, mail and local trains also run on time.

Private employee Sabbir Hossain lives in Pahartali area of ​​Chittagong city. Wife and daughter will go to the village home in Mymensingh. He came to take them to the train. He will go after two more days due to work. Vijay expressed anger that the express train did not arrive on schedule. He said, children have to sit this summer. There is no guarantee when the train will arrive. If this is the case, the Eid journey will become difficult.

Chittagong Railway stationmaster Abu Zafar Majumdar confirmed the delay of 153 hours. He told Prothom Alo that Vijay Express was delayed in returning from Jamalpur. Due to this the departure from Chittagong is delayed. But other trains left on schedule. The General Manager of the Eastern Region of Railways visited the Eid Yatra activities. sabuktagin Railway officials were present with him at that time.
