A madrasah teacher died after being hit by a dump truck in Mirsrai, Chittagong, after falling from a moving motorcycle on the road. The accident took place on the Chittagong-bound lane of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in the wireless area of ​​the upazila’s Sadar Union at around three o’clock on Friday.

Name of the deceased teacher. Amirul Islam Farooqui (47). He is from Rahmatabad area of ​​Mithanala Union of upazila. Son of Zafar Ahmad Faruqi. He was a teacher of Rahmatabad Farooqiya Hafezia Madrasah in that area. Besides, he taught Friday prayers in a mosque in Chinki Astana area of ​​the upazila. Today he was returning from Friday prayers at that mosque.

According to local sources, Amirul Islam was going to Mirsarai upazila headquarters on a motorcycle after Friday prayers. On the way, a dump truck hit the back of his motorcycle. Later he fell on the road and died on the spot. Fire service and Zorarganj highway police members recovered his body after receiving information.

Rashedul Islam Faruqi, younger brother of deceased Amirul Islam, told Prothom Alo, “My elder brother used to teach Friday prayers in a mosque besides teaching in the madrasa established by his father. He was riding a motorcycle to the upazila headquarters after Friday prayers. On the way, a speeding dump truck hit my brother’s motorcycle. He fell on the road and died of head injuries. Elder brother Amirul Islam has a wife and three sons.
