Madrasa student was going to the pond to wash her face after waking up, died due to lightning

A Dakhil examinee died due to lightning in Subarnachar Upazila of Noakhali. Her name is Tanzina Akhter (17). The incident took place in Nawapara village of Ward No. 8 of Char Amanuliah Union of the upazila at around 6:30 am on Tuesday.
According to local residents, the deceased Tanzina was participating in the Dakhil examination from Char Bata Islamia Madrasa this year. He woke up early this morning and was going to the house pond to wash his face. At that time he died due to lightning.
Local resident Md. Bablu told Prothom Alo that Tanzina was scheduled to participate in the Arabic second paper examination today. However, due to death due to lightning, he did not take part in the examination. There is a shadow of mourning in the area after the death of teenager Tanjina.
Tanzina’s death was confirmed by Abul Bashar, member of Ward No. 8 of Char Amanullah Union Parishad. He said that the matter has been informed to the police station. When asked, Char Jabbar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam said that a police officer has been sent to the spot. Further legal action will be taken as per the application of the student’s family.
