The unconventional initiation took place late Monday night on the rooftop of a local drug rehabilitation center in the Chapatoli area. Surrounded by a group of roughly 25 cheering Brazil supporters, Devapriya Das underwent the ritual, which involved pouring milk over himself to signify his transition to his new team.

According to local observers, Das had long supported Argentina primarily due to the presence of Lionel Messi. However, with speculation mounting that this could be Messi’s final World Cup appearance and citing a perceived decline in the quality of the current Argentine squad, Das decided to switch his loyalty.
