Iran has fired 6,413 missiles and drones at 7 Arab countries in 41 days

Iran has launched at least 6,413 missile and drone strikes targeting seven Arab countries in the past 41 days. An Anadolu report quoted two warplanes as being used in one attack.

According to reports, attacks continued on the first and second day of a two-week ceasefire declared between the US and Iran. The ceasefire was announced on Tuesday (April 7), reportedly mediated by Pakistan. The ceasefire was seen as a step towards a possible peace deal after the US and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28.

A total of 10 drones were fired at Bahrain and Kuwait on the second day of the ceasefire (Thursday), of which 7 were reported to have gone towards Bahrain and at least 3 towards Kuwait.

However, on Friday (April 10), Iran denied the allegations of these attacks and said that no missile or drone attacks have been carried out since the ceasefire began. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its forces had not carried out any attack in any country and that if there was an attack, it would be officially announced.

The United Arab Emirates was the target of most attacks in the 41 days since the conflict began on February 28. Then Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan respectively. The least number of attacks occurred in Oman.

A total of 563 missiles (537 of them ballistic) and 2,256 drones have been intercepted so far, according to the UAE Ministry of Defence.

The Kuwaiti military said 369 missiles and 848 drones were intercepted.

Anadolu has calculated that at least 104 missiles and 916 drones have been intercepted in the case of Saudi Arabia.

Bahrain’s defense forces said 194 missiles and 515 drones were destroyed.

Qatar said at least 227 missiles and 111 drones and two warplanes were aimed at them.

According to Jordanian military data, 291 missiles and drones hit or were targeted in the country.

At least 19 drones were reportedly spotted in Oman.

More than 3,000 people are claimed to have been killed since the start of the joint US-Israeli campaign against Iran. In response, Iran launched drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and US bases in the Gulf. In addition, restrictions have been imposed on the navigation of ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

US President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire on Tuesday (April 7) and said Iran had made a “workable 10-point proposal”. A long-term contract is now in talks.
