In Rajbari, two pieces of Padma fish were sold for 95 thousand taka

In Rajbari’s Daulatdia, two big Katla fish were sold for Tk 95 thousand 415. The two fishes were caught in the fishermen’s nets in the Padma river early on Friday morning. In the morning, a local fishmonger bought two fishes from Daulatdia market and sold them to a resident of Kushtia.
The local fishermen said that Momin Halder, the fisherman of Barat Antarmor area of Rajbari and Irshad Sheikh, the fisherman of Member Para of Bahir Char Chhattar, cast the net in Daulatdia Kushahata area of Padma river on Friday morning. They cast nets and floated about five-six kilometers downstream and came close to Ferighat area. At this time, you realize that something big is stuck in the net. The fisherman Momin pulled the Haldar net and saw that a big cutla fish had been caught in the boat. Later, he brought it for sale in the corner of Rezaul Mandal in Daulatdia Ghat Bazaar.
The fishermen also said that around the same time, another fisherman Irshad Sheikh also caught a big catla in the net. Later he also brought the fish to Rezaul Mandal for sale. At this time, two katlas are weighed one by one. The weight of the big katla is 28 kg 500 grams and the weight of the small katla is 18 kg 100 grams. When the two fish were auctioned for sale, Shahjahan Sheikh, a fishmonger of Ferighat No. 5 in Daulatdia, bought it as the highest bidder.
Shahjahan Sheikh, a fishmonger, said that at around 7 am, he bought the big catla from Rezaul Mandal at the price of Tk 2,200 per kg for Tk 62,700. At the price of 1 thousand 600 taka per kg, he bought another katla for 28 thousand 960 taka. He bought two fish and brought them to his house for sale. Later the fish were tied to two ferry pontoons. At that time, Kushtia sold the big cuttlefish to a Singapore expatriate at a profit of 100 taka per kg for a total of 65 thousand 550 taka and the small cuttlefish for a total profit of 50 taka per kg for a total of 29 thousand 865 taka. Two fish were sent to Kushtia around noon.
