Impeccable security preparations in Jessore around Prime Minister’s visit

In the monthly meeting of the Jessore District Law and Order Committee, flawless security preparations have been made focusing on Prime Minister Tarek Rahman’s visit to Jessore on April 27. 

It was informed in the meeting that Prime Minister will inaugurate Jessore Medical College and ‘Zia Canal’ excavation work at Ulashi in Sharsha during his visit to Jessore. On the occasion of this visit, all government officials and employees of the district have been ordered to complete their official work by April 20 and all their leave has been cancelled.

It was also informed in the meeting that for the sake of security, it has been prohibited to keep construction materials or park buses, trucks, tankers and pickups on the main roads of Jessore Sadar, Jhikargacha and Sharsha upazilas from April 25 to 27. Apart from this, all the shops and petrol pumps in the designated route, Paris Road and adjacent areas will be closed for those three days.

Considering the current situation of fuel oil in the country, some specific decisions were also taken in the meeting. Of these, motorcycles with three liters or more of oil will not get fresh oil from the pump. If there is less than three liters of oil, the tag officer in charge of the pump or the law enforcement force will allow oil to be dispensed subject to verification of valid documents. Without valid documents, the concerned vehicles will be impounded for one month. If you store oil at home and try to sell it at higher prices, strict legal action will be taken.

Apart from this, Additional District Magistrate Irufa Sultana presented the crime scene of last March in the meeting.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashek Hasan said special operations to prevent juvenile gangs, anti-robbery operations and border smuggling will continue around the Pahela Baishakh celebrations and Prime Minister’s visit. Besides, mobile court will be conducted against those creating artificial crisis in the market.
