Measles vaccination started today in four cities

In order to prevent the outbreak of measles, the vaccination program is starting from Sunday in two city corporations of Dhaka, Mymensingh and Barisal City Corporation. Vaccination program will run from 8 am to 4 pm every day except holidays.

Apart from this, the nationwide vaccination program will start from April 20, which will continue till May 11. Children between the ages of six months and five years can receive this vaccine.

Before this, on April 5, the first phase started in 30 high-risk hotspot areas of the country. These are in 30 upazilas under 18 districts of the country.

There will be three vaccination centers in 54 wards of Dhaka North City Corporation.

Dhaka South City Corporation Assistant Health Officer Dr. Faria Faiz said that they have a target of vaccinating four lakh children.
