Housewife killed with spade, husband arrested

An allegation has been made that a housewife was killed with a spade in East Gachchabil area of Manikchari upazila of Khagrachari. The police arrested her husband in this incident. The police recovered the body of the housewife at around 11:30 pm on Thursday.
The name of the deceased housewife is Mahinur Akhtar (24). She is the wife of Abul Kalam of East Gachchabil area of Manikchari. She was the mother of two children. His father’s house is also in East Gachchabil area.
According to the sources of police and local residents, Mahinoor had a quarrel with her husband Abul Kalam yesterday evening over family matters. At one stage of the argument between the two, Abul Kalam hit Mahinoor on the head with a spade. Mahinoor was killed in this.
Mahinur Akhtar’s father Abu Taher filed a case at Manikchari police station last night. Mahinoor’s husband Abul Kalam and mother-in-law Khadija Begum have been made accused in the case. Abu Taher said, “My daughter was killed in a planned manner by her husband and mother-in-law.” I want an exemplary trial of this incident.
When asked, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manikachari police station Masud Parvez said, “On receiving the news, the police recovered the body and brought it to the police station. The body will be sent to Khagrachari Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Husband Abul Kalam has been arrested in this incident.
