Professor Abdullah Abu Saeed, the founder and educationist of Biswa Sahitya Kendra, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tariq Rahman. The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat on Thursday afternoon.

Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon gave this information. He said, Professor Abdullah Abu Saeed met Prime Minister Tariq Rahman. He discussed with the Prime Minister about the issues of reading books among students in schools.

Atiqur Rahman said that the government will work jointly with the World Literature Center to develop the habit of reading books among students. This book reading program will be at primary, secondary and high school level.
