Bangladesh Police Reassigns 93 Assistant Superintendents to Field Units

The Bangladesh Police has announced the reassignment of 93 officers holding the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to various units and districts across the country. The directive, issued on Monday by the Police Headquarters, was signed by Raihan Uddin Khan, Additional Deputy Inspector General of the Personnel Management Branch-1.
Under the new order, the officers have been transferred from the Police Headquarters to a range of operational units, including the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), and several districts nationwide.

According to police sources, the group comprises officers from the 37th, 38th, 40th, and 41st batches of the Bangladesh Civil Service. These officers had recently completed a one-year training program at the Police Academy in Sarda, followed by a six-month field placement in various districts. Prior to this transfer, they were serving in the Training Reserve (TR) branch at the Police Headquarters, marking this transition as their first official posting in their professional careers.
