14-year-old Kishore started driving autorickshaw to help his family in Raipur Upazila of Laxmipur. Rajeev He left the house at eight o’clock in the evening by taking an auto-rickshaw yesterday. When he did not return at night, the family members started looking for different places. Phone calls asking for ransom late at night. And today, Saturday afternoon, his body was found.
According to Rajiv’s family members, an unknown person called Rajiv’s father’s mobile phone at around 3 am and demanded 1 lakh rupees as ransom. After that, on Saturday afternoon, his bloody body was found in a secluded garden on the west side of Hat school in the upazila camp.
The police say that the deceased teenager had multiple injuries on his head. The police believe that he was a victim of murder. Deceased Rajeev is the son of Mustafa Mia, an autorickshaw driver of Faju Molla station area in Char, South Gaya.
Talking to the police and relatives, it is known that Rajeev went missing last Friday around eight o’clock. Later that night, a ransom was demanded on the mobile phone. The family, anxious to save their son’s life, became disoriented. They did not understand whether the ransom demand was true or not. After receiving information from the locals, the police went to the spot and recovered Rajeev’s body from a garden.
Rajiv’s uncle Shahjahan Majhi said that Rajiv was abducted during the night They demanded a ransom of one lakh rupees to release him. For not paying that money, my nephew was killed and his body left behind.
Officer-in-charge of Raipur police station Shaheen Mia said, ‘We are investigating the incident very seriously. Initially it appears to be murder. They told the police that a ransom of one lakh taka has been demanded from the family of the deceased. The issue of ransom demand is also under investigation. Those involved will be quickly identified and brought to justice.
