A 5-year-old child has been accused of rape for feeding sugarcane

In Jamalpur Sadar Upazila, a teenager has been accused of raping a five-year-old child after luring her to feed her sugarcane. The child’s father filed a case at the police station on Saturday night. The accused juvenile is absconding since the incident.

According to the police and local sources, last Friday morning, the teenager called the girl from home for feeding sugarcane. She was later taken to a poultry farm and handcuffed and raped. At that time, when he screamed, the teenager untied the child and was taking him home. When he met the child’s mother on the way, he ran away. Later, when the child fell ill, he was admitted to Jamalpur General Hospital that night.

Evidence has been collected in the case of rape. They have been sent for testing. However, the test report has not been received yet.

The child’s father said, ‘I considered that boy as a nephew. But I never imagined that he would do this to my family. By talking about feeding sugarcane, they took it to the chicken farm and did this. I want exemplary punishment for him.

Jamalpur Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Yahya Al Mamun said that the complaint of child rape has been received. Based on the complaint, a case has been taken after investigation. Necessary medical examination of the victim child has been completed. Several teams, including plainclothes police, are working to arrest the teenager involved in the incident.
