7 out of 9 mauals missing in Kalboishakhi in Sundarbans have been rescued

The forest department has rescued seven of the nine mouals who went missing deep in the Sundarbans after getting lost in Kalboishakhi. They were rescued from the deep forest on Monday. They were handed over to their relatives from Burigoalini station in Satkhira range at around 11 am on Tuesday.
According to the Forest Department, members of Haldebunia patrol post under Satkhira range of Sundarbans went out on regular patrol on Monday. Around eight in the morning, they heard the call of some people from inside the forest in the area along the Chaya river. Four Mouals were rescued from there.
The rescued mobsters are Rashidul Islam (36) of Paschim Katiakshi village of Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira, Shukur Ali (38) of Burigoalini village, Abdul Latif Molla (64) and Taibur Rahman (23) of Kashimari village.
Rashidul Islam and Shukur Ali Sardar said that on April 1, they entered the Sundarbans with five forest department passes. On April 10, on his way back to the locality after collecting honey, he suddenly fell under the influence of Kalbaisakhi at the mouth of Raimangal river. As a result, their boat lost control and drifted towards the Indian border in the strong current. Team member Shaukat Ghazi (39) was arrested by Indian Forest Department personnel. They were separated due to the border situation. Later the four walked for two days and reunited. Unable to return home, he made a temporary raft and crossed the river to enter Bangladesh.
Moshiur Rahman, Assistant Forest Conservator of Satkhira Range, said that at the same time, eight members of another Maual group entered the Sundarbans on April 1. On the night of April 6, their boat sank in a sudden storm in Kanchikata area. At that time, four people drifted and reached Haldebunia patrol post the next day, they were rescued and handed over to their relatives. The remaining four were missing. Later on Monday, three of the missing persons were rescued from the Raimangal border river area. The three criminals who were rescued are Oliur Rahman, Ikramul Kabir and Mikail Hossain of Shyamnagar upazila. But Akbar of the same village is still missing. The rescued Mouals have been handed over to their relatives today.
