23 thousand 372 pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia

23 thousand 372 pilgrims from Bangladesh reached Saudi Arabia in the four days of the beginning of this year’s Hajj. This information has been given in the Hajj Bulletin.

Director of Bangladesh Hajj Office Lokman Hossain said that 58 flights reached Jeddah till 10 am on Wednesday, the fourth day of Hajjatra.

The first Hajj flight of the year from Bangladesh took off on April 18. On that day, the flight with 418 pilgrims left from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

According to official data, a total of 78,500 people from Bangladesh have been allowed to perform Hajj this year. Among them, 4 thousand 565 people are going to Haj under government management and the remaining 73 thousand 935 under private management.

A total of 660 private agencies including 30 main, 630 coordinating agencies are working in Hajj management.

According to the airline information, so far 8 thousand 674 passengers have arrived in Saudi Arabia on 21 flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 8 thousand 247 passengers on 21 flights of Saudi Airlines and 6 thousand 451 passengers on 16 flights of Flinus Airlines.

The remaining 54 thousand 904 Hajj pilgrims will reach Saudi Arabia by scheduled flights, said Director of Hajj Office Lokman Hossain.

The Holy Hajj is scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia on May 26 subject to the sighting of the moon.
