Father of Ailing Ideal School Student Appeals for Financial Aid to Fund Bone Marrow Transplant

Faratul Mahmud Hasan, a tenth-grade student at the Banasree branch of Motijheel Ideal School and College, is facing a critical medical crisis as he battles blood cancer. The fifteen-year-old has been struggling with the illness for seven years, requiring regular blood transfusions and expensive medication every month.

His father, Md. Sadequl Islam, stated that the family has already spent over 20 million taka on his son’s treatment, a financial burden that has left them nearly destitute. According to medical professionals, Faratul now requires a bone marrow transplant to survive, a procedure estimated to cost an additional 5 million taka.
