Subhasree campaigning for Raj Chakraborty

Tollywood’s ‘Lady Superstar’ famous actress Subhasree Gangopadhyay hit the streets again. But this time not for herself, but for her husband. He took part in public relations on Sunday (April 26) afternoon seeking votes for Trinamool Congress candidate Raj Chakraborty from Barrackpore. 

At the beginning of this campaign on Sunday (April 26) afternoon, Subhashri completed puja at a temple in the area. Then he campaigned sitting next to Raj in a blue and white saree with an open hood. 

Raj Chakraborty also opened up about a recent viral video during the campaign. The video showed an old voter washing Raj’s feet, which drew criticism from the opposition. 

In this regard, Raj said, ‘I was not prepared for this situation. He treated me like a child and like Narayana and washed my feet with devotion. I don’t want to get into an argument. I have been able to do 70 percent of the work in the area in the last 5 years, and I want to finish the rest.

Even though she is in the political field for her husband, Subhasree has no plans to enter politics directly. Raj said that Subhasree has repeatedly turned down the offer of politics due to the busyness of acting and taking care of two young children, Yuvan and Yalini. 

But her support for Raj as a wife is unwavering, the actress’ presence at Sunday’s campaign rally proved once again.

According to political analysts, Trinamool Congress is trying to make use of Raj’s outgoing MLA status in Barrackpore and Subhasree’s popularity to keep the margin of victory in this center heavy.
