Mumbai – Emerging Bollywood actor Ahan Panday has attributed his swift rise to stardom and ability to portray on-screen romance to none other than superstar Shah Rukh Khan, citing the veteran as his enduring inspiration and mentor. Panday, who achieved significant success with his debut film *Saiyara*, recently shared in a podcast and subsequent interview how “King Khan” profoundly influenced his acting journey.

Despite his parents having no direct ties to the film industry – his father is a businessman and his mother a fitness instructor – Ahan’s connection to Bollywood began early through his uncle, popular actor Chunky Panday. However, it was his familial closeness to the Khan household that truly shaped his formative years.

Ahan’s romantic drama *Saiyara*, directed by Mohit Suri, propelled him into the spotlight, establishing his position in the industry and leading to a slate of new projects. Reflecting on his achievements, the young actor credited Shah Rukh Khan for his understanding of love on screen.

“I learned how to portray romantic scenes on screen just by watching ‘King Khan’,” Ahan stated, emphasizing the depth of their relationship. He described Shah Rukh Khan not just as an idol but as his loving “uncle,” a figure he has known intimately since childhood, sharing a long-standing friendship with Shah Rukh’s son, Aryan Khan.

Ahan admitted that pinpointing specific lessons learned from Shah Rukh Khan is challenging, explaining, “He is my life’s inspiration. As I grew up, I unconsciously absorbed so much from him.” He further corroborated a common observation among many who know Shah Rukh Khan, asserting that the superstar’s persona on screen mirrors his genuine nature off it.

Recalling a pivotal experience from his youth, Ahan shared how he accompanied the Khan family on his first trip to Dubai. It was there, away from the sets, that he witnessed another dimension of Shah Rukh Khan’s character. He also recounted seeking advice from Shah Rukh Khan at just 17 years old, eager to show him a short film he had created. “Uncle came with great enthusiasm to watch the film,” Ahan recalled, noting that Shah Rukh also offered invaluable guidance on what he should and should not pursue. “There’s no one like him,” Ahan concluded.
