Rozina turned down the offer of ‘Ved’s daughter Jyotsna’, the producer said in anger

’90s Dhallywood actress Rozina has now moved far away from movies. He built an illustrious career spanning more than four decades. Rozina has acted in about 300 movies in her colorful career. Received National Film Award twice. He has taken himself to unique heights by working in the film industry of West Bengal, Nepal and Pakistan outside the country. Today Monday (April 20) is the heroine’s birthday. Actress Rozina spoke openly in an interview on her birthday. 

She was first offered the lead role in the record-breaking blockbuster film ‘Veder Mey Jyotsna’. But he rejected that proposal himself. And behind this was an important decision taken about his career, he said. On the other hand, the producer expressed his anger and said that if this movie flops, then Rozina will be responsible.

Reminiscing about the early days of her illustrious career, Rozina said that she stood in front of the camera for the first time through the movie ‘Janoar’. He got only 10 rupees for acting as a guest there. And ‘Rajmahal’ was his first superhit movie, for which he was paid Rs 15 to 20 thousand. 

He said that for the first three years of his career, he used to go to shootings in a baby taxi. The actress said that she never ran after money – she still can’t count money herself.

Rozina said that at one point in her career, she acted extensively in folk-fantasy or costume films. ‘Colorful Beauty’, ‘Rajnandini’, ‘Rajkanya’, ‘Rajasinghasan’, ‘Rajmahal’, ‘Gypsy Sardar’, ‘Shahi Durbar’, ‘Ali Baba Sindabad’, ‘Sultana Daku’, ‘Nagpurnima’, ‘Nagamhal’, ‘Champa Chameli’, ‘Dwipkanya’, ‘Matsyakumari’, ‘Arun Varun Kiranmala’ and numerous others. Rozina has made her own way by challenging criticism. And that path has brought her today’s success and honor, the actress said. He said, heard many people saying that she is only a folk-fantasy actress. But Rozina has proved her skills in different genres of movies like ‘Kasai’, ‘Jiwandhara’, ‘Dinkal’, ‘Surooj Mia’, ‘Avichar’, ‘Dolna’, ‘Mansi’. However, the actress tries to present herself in a new way rather than being stuck in the same identity.

The actress said that she follows many rules in her personal life as well. He said, though fish and rice are Bengali, ‘rice’ never attracts me. Rozina said, I have not eaten rice at night for more than 40 years. My favorite food is chicken soup, small fish and brown bread. He says that whenever he gets a chance, he does cycling, yoga and runs on the treadmill.

One time producer Tozammel Haque Bakul proposed Rozina for his first movie ‘Veder Mey Jyotsna’. Despite various efforts, the producer could not convince him. Later actress Anju Ghosh played that role. In this regard, Rozina said that one day after the start of shooting, when she met Bakul at FDC, she regretfully said – Bubu, if ‘Veder’s daughter Jyotsna’ flops, you will be responsible for it. But that fear did not come true. After its release, the movie became a huge hit and created history. However, he has no regrets about it. Rosina said that every creation has a destination, which is destined to happen.
