Prosenjit does not want to smear the ‘mud’ of politics

Actor-turned-chief minister of the state is popular Tamil film hero Thalapathy Vijay. So far, he has been seen in various heroic roles on the screen. He entered the field of politics in just two years and won the hearts of people. Vijay became the Chief Minister after winning the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly by a huge margin in the recently concluded elections.
In a post on social media, Prosenjit wrote, ‘I have been acting with great respect for many years and would like to continue to act in the same way in the future. I have one humble request to all of you — please don’t put any political color on me.’
Prosenjit said, ‘I did not call anyone; Instead, my younger brother called me. As a great grandfather, it is my duty to bless someone, and that is what I have done.’
The controversy started after Rudranil Ghosh, the BJP candidate from the Shivpur assembly constituency, won with a huge margin. Rudranil himself told the news of winning to Prosenjit. After that, when their conversation came to light, many people started to think that maybe Prosenjit is going to make his name in politics. Even the possibility of him joining the BJP came up for discussion. But he completely dismissed all those speculations.
Even before the election, there was a political buzz around Prosenjit’s family. He said, ‘now it is easy to understand which picture is original and which is edited. It’s strange, a 20-year-old boy is being spread such false propaganda, even involving me.’
