South Indian Star Ram Charan Undergoes Successful Surgery Following On-Set Injury

South Indian cinema star Ram Charan has undergone successful surgery following a severe wrist injury sustained during the filming of his latest sports-action project, “Peddi.” The actor was admitted to Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where he underwent an intricate procedure to address damage caused while performing a wrestling sequence.
According to reports in the Indian media, medical evaluations confirmed that the actor suffered a “Grade 3 cartilage tear” along with significant bone damage. To facilitate a full recovery, surgical intervention was deemed mandatory.
The procedure was performed using advanced laparoscopic techniques by a collaborative team of world-renowned specialists. The medical panel included orthopedic surgeon Dr. S. Rajasekaran, Miami-based international hand and wrist expert Dr. Alejandro Badia, and Dr. Praveen Bharadwaj.
Representatives for the actor confirmed that the operation was successful and that he is currently in stable condition. While he is no longer in danger, medical professionals have advised a rigorous rehabilitation and physiotherapy program to ensure the injury heals completely before he returns to the demanding physical requirements of film sets.
During his hospital stay, the actor was supported by his wife, Upasana Kamineni, as well as his parents, Chiranjeevi and Surekha.
Ram Charan, who recently starred in the Buchi Babu Sana-directed “Peddi” alongside Janhvi Kapoor, is expected to resume his professional commitments once his recovery is complete. He is slated to begin work on his next major project, an ambitious feature directed by Sukumar titled “RC17,” following the conclusion of his post-operative care.
