Nick Jonas Marks Eighth Anniversary of Engagement to Priyanka Chopra as Actress Prepares for Varanasi Role

American singer and actor Nick Jonas marked eight years since his engagement to Priyanka Chopra by sharing a previously unseen photograph on social media. The image captures the intimate moment the couple became betrothed, showing Jonas holding Chopra’s hand to highlight her diamond engagement ring while the actress shyly covers her face. Re-sharing the post to her own Instagram story, Chopra expressed her gratitude to her husband for the proposal.
The couple, who wed in a lavish ceremony at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur in 2018, have frequently used social media to celebrate their milestones. Earlier this summer, Jonas commemorated Chopra’s birthday by posting a video of the actress on a boat, accompanied by a caption declaring her his “love.” The pair welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogacy in January 2022.
While celebrating her personal life, Chopra is also preparing for a significant return to Indian cinema. Director S.S. Rajamouli recently unveiled the actress’s first look as the character “Mandakini” in his highly anticipated upcoming film, *Varanasi*. Describing the character’s duality, Rajamouli noted that Mandakini possesses a grace that blossoms with her smile and an intensity that burns when she is serious.
The action-adventure film, which is currently in the final stages of production, features an ensemble cast including Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Following a successful teaser presentation at the Annecy Animation Festival in France this past June, the project is slated for a global theatrical release on April 7, 2027. The role marks a major cinematic homecoming for Chopra, who has been balancing her international career with high-profile projects in India.
