Nayak Masood Sheikh arrested from bar in Uttara

In a police raid in a bar in the capital’s Uttara, the popular actor of Dhakai cinema, Masud Sheikh, has been arrested.

Police raided a bar in Uttara Sector 12 of the capital late on Thursday (April 23). At this time, 140 people were arrested from there. Masud Sheikh, the famous hero of Dhakai cinema, was in the bar that day.

According to police sources, Masood Sheikh was also arrested along with 140 people present in the bar during the operation. Later, when he was produced before the court, the judge sentenced him to three days imprisonment and ordered a fine of two thousand rupees.

Actor Masood Sheikh did not act in many films but was known as a member of the film family. His father Mojibur Rahman’s production company ‘Hasnabad Kathachitra’ once produced several popular movies.

In 1994, he made his debut on the big screen with the famous director Kazi Hayat’s movie ‘Despremik’. At that time his presence caught the attention of the audience. However, he is known as the hero of Shabnoor.

In his long career, he acted in popular movies like ‘Pagla Babul’, ‘Jamin Nai’, ‘Asami Badhu’, ‘Durdanta Pamela’, ‘Notorious Zarina’, ‘Khabar Khadi’ and ‘Manush Ken Amanush’.
