Arifin Shuvoo and Keya Payel Marriage Posts Revealed as Marketing Stunt for Web Film

A social media post featuring Bangladeshi film star Arifin Shuvoo and actress Keya Payel has ignited widespread speculation, prompting fans and netizens to question whether the two have secretly tied the knot. The confusion stemmed from a shared photograph on their respective Facebook profiles in which Shuvoo is seen embracing Payel, accompanied by the caption “Happily Married.”
The post triggered an immediate wave of reactions, with many followers offering congratulations, while others speculated that Shuvoo might be starting a new chapter in his personal life. However, sources close to the production have confirmed that the announcement is a promotional tactic designed to generate buzz for an upcoming web film.
The pair has teamed up for a project titled “Happily Married,” directed by Zahid Pritom and produced by Chabial. The film is part of the “Ministry of Love” project, an initiative overseen by filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki for the OTT platform Chorki. According to the production team, the story explores the complexities of relationships, love, and the realities of modern life.
The promotional stunt has drawn mixed reactions from the public. While some audiences praised the marketing effort as creative, others criticized the move as misleading. Detractors argued that using deceptive tactics to build anticipation for a project is unnecessary and amounts to “cheap publicity.”
Launched in 2023, the “Ministry of Love” project is a series of 12 original films by 12 different directors, all centered on the theme of love. The project has previously yielded titles such as “Last Defenders of Monogamy,” “Kacher Manush Dure Thuiya,” and “Something Like an Autobiography.” Arifin Shuvoo, last seen in the web film “Unish20,” returns to the screen for this latest collaboration, confirming that the marital status update was merely a work of fiction.
