Two killed in motorcycle crash in Jashore

Two men were killed Sunday night when their motorcycle veered off a road and slammed into a tree in the Manirampur upazila of Jashore. The victims, identified as 27-year-old Rakib Hossain and 23-year-old Mehedi Hasan, both residents of Nadra village in the Kashimpur union, died shortly after the collision.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. near the Khedapara Maniktala intersection along the Rajganj-Pulerhat road. According to the victim’s family, the two friends had spent the evening visiting the Rajganj floating bridge area and were returning home when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Local bystanders rushed both men to the Jashore 250-bed General Hospital following the crash. Despite efforts to provide emergency care, doctors pronounced both individuals dead at approximately 10:30 p.m.
Sub-Inspector Shahabur Rahman of the Khedapara police camp confirmed that the bodies remain at the hospital morgue pending post-mortem examinations. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings regarding the incident.
