Actor Khairul Basar injured in scooter accident during Thailand film shoot

Popular television actor Khairul Bashar and cinematographer Mehedi Rony were seriously injured in a scooter accident while filming in Thailand on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. local time as the production team was descending from a hill following a shoot on Koh Lan island.
According to Khairul Bashar, the pair had successfully completed their filming on the mountainside, but the accident occurred during the descent when the scooter lost control. Mehedi Rony, who was operating the vehicle, was also injured in the fall. The production crew, who were nearby at the time, immediately rushed to provide assistance to the duo.
Bashar sustained injuries to his chest and knees, making it difficult for him to walk. Speaking on his condition, the actor confirmed that the production has been forced to halt indefinitely. He noted that both he and the cinematographer require X-rays to assess the severity of their injuries and have been advised by medical professionals to prioritize rest.
The actor had traveled to Thailand to film several dramas, marking his first international project following a long hiatus after the Eid holiday. His co-stars in the ongoing production include Sadnima Binte Noman. Bashar indicated that he will be unable to resume shooting for the next several days while he recovers.
