Yamaha Riders Club conducts beach cleanup drive in Coxs Bazar to mark International Youth Day

COX’S BAZAR — Nearly 400 Yamaha riders participated in a beach cleanup campaign at Sugandha Point in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday, marking the conclusion of the Yamaha Riders Club (YRC) Annual Conclave 2026. The environmental initiative coincided with International Youth Day, observed globally on August 12.

The event, organized by Yamaha Bangladesh, began with a day-long conference held at the Long Beach Hotel in Cox’s Bazar. The gathering brought together motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country to participate in various professional workshops and networking sessions. During the conference, the organizers presented awards to selected riders in recognition of their significant contributions to various social welfare initiatives.

Following the indoor proceedings, the riders moved to Sugandha Point in the afternoon to execute the cleanup operation. Participants systematically collected plastic waste, polythene, and other discarded materials scattered across the beach. Organizers stated that the primary objective of the campaign was to foster a sense of social responsibility among youth and to promote environmental conservation.

Subrata Ranjan Das, Managing Director of ACI Motors, joined other senior officials and the riders in the field to support the environmental effort.
