Information Minister Andalib Rahman Partho says government navigating sensitive period following 17 years of systemic challenges

Information and Broadcasting Minister Andaleeve Rahman Partho said on Tuesday that the current government is navigating a highly sensitive period, compounded by the legacy of the previous administration’s seventeen-year tenure.

Speaking at a regular press briefing at the Secretariat to outline recent government activities, Partho emphasized the unique challenges facing the current leadership. He acknowledged that the government did not assume power under normal circumstances, noting that the systemic remnants of the past seventeen years have created a fragile environment.

Despite these difficulties, the minister expressed optimism regarding the government’s trajectory. He asserted that with the continued cooperation of the media and the support of the general public, the administration would be able to move forward effectively.

Information Adviser Jahed Ur Rahman also addressed the briefing, detailing various government initiatives and responding to inquiries from journalists alongside Partho.

The briefing was attended by State Minister for Information Yasser Khan Chowdhury, Information Secretary Mahbuba Farzana, and Principal Information Officer of the Press Information Department Syed Abdal Ahmed.
