Bangladesh Navy Chief Mohammad Nazmul Hassan Promoted to Admiral

Chief of Naval Staff of the Bangladesh Navy, Khandaker Misbah-ul-Azim, has been promoted to the rank of Admiral. The announcement was made on Sunday morning via an official post on the Bangladesh Navy’s verified Facebook page.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman formally adorned the naval chief with the rank badge during a ceremony held at the Air Force headquarters. Following the proceedings, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman extended his official congratulations to the newly promoted Admiral.
The rank-conferring ceremony was attended by several high-ranking military and government officials, including the Advisor to the Armed Forces Division and the Ministry of Defence, the Chief of Air Staff, the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, and the Defence Secretary.
Khandaker Misbah-ul-Azim officially assumed the command of the Bangladesh Navy on July 23.
