Worker dies after falling from ready-mix truck in Dhaka Demra area

A 22-year-old worker died after falling from a ready-mix concrete truck while cleaning it in the Sarulia area of Demra, Dhaka, on Sunday morning.
The victim, identified as Mehedi Hasan, was working as a helper. According to his colleague, Mizanur Rahman, the incident occurred at approximately 8:00 a.m. while Hasan was standing on a ladder attached to the truck. Authorities believe he lost his balance and fell to the ground, sustaining critical injuries.
Hasan was initially transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment. He was subsequently transferred to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where attending physicians declared him dead.
Inspector Md. Faruk, in charge of the DMCH police outpost, confirmed the death and stated that the body has been moved to the morgue for an autopsy. The relevant police station has been notified to initiate further investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
Hasan, the son of Abdur Rob, hailed from the Shahrashti sub-district of Chandpur. Prior to his death, he resided in the Rupganj area of Narayanganj.
