National Film Award-winning actress Toma Mirza joins private bank as Assistant Vice President

National Film Award-winning actress Toma Mirza has transitioned into the corporate sector, joining a private bank as an Assistant Vice President of Brand and Communications. The actress has been serving in this capacity for approximately three months.
Despite her new role in the banking industry, Mirza confirmed that she has no intention of stepping away from her acting career. She described acting as her primary passion and emphasized that she remains committed to regular performances in the future. According to Mirza, the bank’s management is supportive of her artistic pursuits, which she says allows her to balance both professional commitments without conflict.
Mirza gained significant prominence following her performances in the films “Surongo” and “Dagi,” where she starred alongside Afran Nisho. She noted that she is shifting her approach to the big screen, opting to feature in only one or two films per year to ensure selectivity in her roles.
Beyond cinema, Mirza has earned critical acclaim for her work on various over-the-top streaming platforms. Her performances in content such as “Janowar,” “Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi,” and “Friday” have drawn considerable attention from audiences and critics alike.
Looking ahead, the actress is scheduled to begin production on a new film titled “Kholnayok.” Directed by Vicky Zahed, the project will see her reunite with Afran Nisho on screen. Mirza characterized her entry into the banking sector as a valuable opportunity for personal growth, noting that she is enjoying the experience of exploring professional fields outside of the entertainment industry.
