Woman dies after falling ill upon hearing news of brothers hospitalization in Jashore

A 65-year-old woman died on Tuesday night in Baliadanga village, located in the Keshabpur Upazila of Jashore, shortly after learning that her brother had been hospitalized.
The deceased, Saifulnessa, fell ill at her home after receiving news that her 60-year-old brother, Abdul Gafur, had been admitted to the Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex. Gafur had sought medical attention earlier in the day due to vomiting and physical exhaustion.
According to family members and hospital officials, Saifulnessa suffered a sudden health collapse upon hearing of her brother’s condition. She was rushed to the Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex at approximately 10:45 p.m. Following an initial assessment, medical staff recommended she be transferred to a hospital in Khulna for advanced treatment. She died while en route to the facility.
Dr. Jihadur Rahman, a physician at the emergency department of the Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex, confirmed the death. He stated that the incident was likely caused by cardiac arrest or a cerebral hemorrhage, though he noted that a formal medical diagnosis could not be confirmed without further examination.
Abdul Gafur remains at the Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex, where he is currently receiving ongoing medical care.
