Actress Hina Khan and producer-director Rocky Jaiswal have addressed widespread speculation regarding the authenticity of their marriage, dismissing claims that their union was a publicity stunt. The couple, who tied the knot in June 2025 following a 13-year relationship, spoke candidly on a recent podcast to set the record, noting that their marriage was finalized under the Special Marriage Act long before the dates were made public.

The couple first met on the set of the popular Star Plus television series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Following their private wedding ceremony, some critics suggested the marriage was timed to promote their appearance on the reality show Pati, Patni Aur Panga. Addressing these rumors, Khan, a former Bigg Boss 11 runner-up, emphasized that their wedding plans were established well in advance and were not influenced by professional obligations.

Khan also opened up about the profound challenges the couple faced during her battle with breast cancer. She revealed that the strain of her diagnosis, coupled with the illness of Jaiswal’s mother, created an incredibly difficult period for their relationship. During this time, Khan encouraged Jaiswal to consider a life without her, stating that she wanted him to prioritize his own happiness, even if it meant being with someone else.

Despite the emotional and physical toll of her treatment, Jaiswal remained steadfast, providing unwavering support. Khan credited him with easing the burden of her recovery, noting that navigating that chapter of her life would have been impossible without his presence.
